Once again, SS&C Advent’s Geneva system has been named the “Best Portfolio Accounting Platform” in the 2016 Waters Buy-Side Technology Awards. The awards are meant to recognize the top technologies and providers in their respective areas of expertise, as determined by a judging panel that includes leading investment technology consultants and Buy-Side Technology editors. Commenting on our award win, Victor Anderson, Editor-in-Chief, Financial Technology Group, Incisive Media said, “We had over 280 entries for only 32 winners. So this is a fantastic achievement for SS&C Advent and everyone at Waters is delighted for the team.”
This award reflects precisely what we have been striving for with our continual reinvestment in Geneva: to deliver a solution that excels at accounting and position keeping for any instrument, within any type of portfolio structure and in any region. No matter how complex the strategy, Geneva enables investment and operations teams to aggregate positions and view exposures with ease and efficiency. Global asset managers can make better-informed decisions with real-time portfolio and position data.
One key factor in Geneva’s favor is that we perform upgrades twice a year, bringing clients the benefit of innovation and advancing technology at regular six-month intervals. The latest enhancements, delivered in mid-October, focused on improving usability and scalability, with a number of new accounting and reporting features.
Another key differentiator of Geneva is our flexible deployment options. to solve for firms’ preferences on adding IT footprint and overhead. From on-premise installation or enhanced hosting services to fully outsourced and co-sourced models, firms can take advantage of the full functionality of Geneva in the way that best suits their business objectives and operational requirements.
Today, Geneva serves over 300 clients in 28 countries, including asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators, prime brokers, mutual funds, and ETFs. The platform provides a unified solution for a full spectrum of business needs across the front, middle and back offices. In fact, it increasingly functions as a firm’s investment book of record (IBOR), helping to strengthen firm-wide collaboration, efficiency and decision making.
We’re extremely grateful for this recognition, and equally grateful for the ongoing vote of confidence we receive from the Geneva client community, whose ideas and input are so critical in making Geneva the award-winning solution it has become.
